MTA Northern Market Expo

Shumaker Group's Kyle Shumaker & Dalton Thurlow attend the Michigan Township Association (MTA) Nothern Market Expo in Harris, MI. In addition to showing off our custom Websites and Municipal Document Management System, Kyle and Dalton also debuted our new mobile app for municipalities. This app allows residents to view contact information for their township, view elected officials, submit a picture of an issue they need help with, and even fill out simple online forms, right from their Android or iPhone.

Central Michigan Purchasing Conference

November 10, 2015 - STG's Kyle Shumaker was invited to present "Technology Tools For Sourcing" at the 2015 Central Michigan Purchasing Conference sponsored by Institute for Supply Chain Management's - Central Michigan Chapter. Kyle presented on using technology to identify and evaluate suppliers. His presentation also tocuhed on Social Media in the supply chain and how apps will revolutionize the logistics industry.

MATS Fall 2015 Conference

Shumaker Group's Jacob Burger and Kyle Shumaker traveled to Bay Harbour, MI to attend the Michigan Association of Township Supervisors (MATS) Fall 2015 Conference. We were honored to be invited to participate in the Association's Round Table Discussion as well as spend the day with some of Michigan's most dedicated Township Supervisors.

Indiana Movers Association

Kyle Shumaker and Keegan Wolter of The Shumaker Technology Group were invited to participate in the Indiana Movers Association's 2015 Convention. We appreciate being invited to network with some of Indiana's finest moving and storage companies.

Shumaker Technology Group contributes to the well being of foster children in the greater Lansing area by donating to ServiceMaster's 2nd annual Golf "FORE" kids.

Summer Leadership Conference

Kyle Shumaker and Jacob Burger from the Shumaker Technology Group joined Paul Helder of the Michigan Education Association to present "Technology Tools To Help Your Association Work Smarter, Not Harder" at MEA's annual Summer Leadership Conference in Sault Saint Marie, MI. During our two sessions, we were able to train about 60 local leaders on how to use technology to become more effective and efficient. We hope the information we shared was helpful and look forward to answering any questions you may have.

Lisle Education Seminar

Shumaker Group's Kyle Shumaker and Jacob Burger attend the 2015 Lisle Education Seminar put on by our client, the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (ICAP). One of our areas of expertise is creating Websites for the Appraisal industry including Appraisal Coalitions, Appraisal Institute Chapters, as well as individual appraisal firms. ICAP's Seminar & Vendor Fair were a great success and it was a great time to network with hundreds of Real Estate Appraisers from Illinois. We especially loved the Vendor dinner Sunday night at the White Chocolate Grill!

MAMC - Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks

In the last full week of June, Shumaker Group’s Andrew Brunette, Kyle Shumaker, and Jacob Burger took the ferry over to Mackinac Island, home of world-famous fudge and the only state highway without motorized vehicles. We had the opportunity to attend the MAMC Annual Conference to showcase our brand and services to clerks of Michigan’s municipalities. True to the theme of this year’s conference, Fantasy Island, we had an amazing experience both on the island and meeting with some of Michigan’s most dedicated public servants.

MTA On The Road

Throughout the months of May and June, Shumaker Group traveled all across Michigan to attend the MTA On The Road series. From Crystal Mountain to Port Huron, through fields of cherry trees and the vast Michigan forests; Andrew Brunette, Kyle Shumaker, and Jacob Burger met with township officials from all reaches of the Great Lake State. Not only was it awesome to see different parts of Michigan, but it was a great experience getting to talk with those who run our local municipalities.

MATS Conference

On Thursday, April 23, 2015, Shumaker Group's Kyle Shumaker and Chris Webster attended the Michigan Association of Township Supervisor's Spring Conference in Chelsea, Michigan. It is always a pleasure to network with Michigan's finest township supervisors. Thank you for all you do for Michigan and for welcoming us to your Spring Conference!

Dewitt Showcase

On Tuesday, April 16, 2015, Shumaker Group’s Kyle Shumaker, Cody Thelen, and Andrew Brunette were very excited to attend a local showcase in the city of DeWitt to connect with the small businesses and residents of the town. It was a great event and super exciting to showcase our brand and welcome Andrew to his first event!

MTA

Shumaker Group’s Kyle Shumaker, Jacob Burger, Cody Thelen, and Andrew Adams traveled to the DeVoss Center in Grand Rapids, MI. At the event we met with township representatives from Michigan’s Southern Border to the Canadian Border! We had a great time introducing Cody at his very first event and seeing the familiar and unfamiliar faces of all the great townships in Michigan!

MSBO

On Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th the Shumaker Group Team, consisting of Kyle Shumaker, Cody Thelen, and Andrew Adams traveled to the COBO Center, downtown Detroit for the opportunity to connect with organization officials from school districts around the state of Michigan. It was great to meet with new and old acquaintances with hopes of connecting with them all soon to assist them in going paperless!

CES

This past winter the entire Shumaker Technology Team traveled to Las Vegas, NV for the annual International CES, Consumer Electronics Show. This is our company’s third trip to Las Vegas for this showcase and it couldn't have been better! CES is an internationally renowned electronics and technology trade show, attracting major companies and industry professionals worldwide. The whole team had a great three days testing out all the new gadgets and observing all the new technologies being introduced this year by some of the largest firms in the world. Amongst the favorites were virtual reality headwear, advanced automobiles, and self-balancing scooters.

On our last day the whole team jumped in a van and headed to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to spend some time away from the buzz and exploring nature. This National park in Nevada was a great way for our team to bond and get lost in the mountains. Zach Slater disappearing to the top of the mountain and Chris Webster and Cody Thelen trying the fresh spring water were just few of the many highlights.
